In a press conference held to introduce van Gaal as coach of the United succeeding David Moyes, said: "We have trained many clubs, such as Bayern Munich and Ajax, and Barcelona, all of those clubs are the best in their respective countries, Barcelona is the first club in Spain."
And then spoke van Gaal policy to be adopted at United, said: "I want to make a team owner a strong personality, my policy centered on building player in all respects, artistic, personal and even off the field, should be a man and a man in all respects."
