Roberto Mancini has been named as the new mentor of Inter, coming back to the club for his second spell in control.


The Nerazzurri sacked Walter Mazzarri on Friday after a poor begin to the season and have brought the previous Manchester City supervisor into supplant him.

Mancini, who won three sequential Serie A titles as Inter manager somewhere around 2004 and 2008, has been affirmed as the new mentor of the 2010 Champions League victors.

"F.c. Internazionale is satisfied to publish that Roberto Mancini is the new first-group head mentor. He will start training obligations on Saturday," an announcement read on their authority site.

Club president Erick Thohir has communicated his take pleasure in delegating the 49-year-old, who has instructed Manchester City and Galatasaray since leaving San Siro.

Thohir accepts he is the right man to take them again to the zenith of Italian and European football.

"Our objective is to recover our legitimate position as one of the extremely top clubs in Europe and that is the reason I am so upbeat to welcome back Roberto Mancini," he said.

"His track record both at Inter and somewhere else represents itself with no issue, and his universal experience and strive after achievement will drive the group to the following level."

Mancini won seven trophies altogether in his first spell at San Siro, including two Coppe Italia.
