Confirmed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in remarks on Saturday that the star Chilean Alexis Sanchez did not fluoresce in Barcelona because of Leo Messi, the French coach believes that Messi was the reason you do not see a large Chilean performance which is the same thing that happened to Neymar.
Wenger said in an interview with British newspaper the Daily Mirror: "I've been following Alexis Sanchez when he played for Udinese and then after moving to Barcelona, it is a wonderful striker shine in Italy."
He added: "But then he found difficulties, such as Neymar when he joined Barcelona, when you see Neymar with Brazil, Neymar with Barcelona, it is not the same player. This happened to Alexis, who played on the left, the right, the heart attack because of the preference Messi playing as a striker."
Alexis Sanchez has moved to Arsenal this summer in a deal estimated at 40 million euros and played three seasons with the Catalans after joining in the summer of 2011 at the request of Pep Guardiola.
The Gunners count heavily on Sanchez to lead the team to achieve the title of the English Premier League and the Premier League top wrestler this season.
