Square, Serie A Fiorentina, is currently the World Cup in Colombia, where he established three assists in his two appearances so far.
"If they can not sign, I would encourage the club to do," Alves said at a press conference, while representing Brazil at the World Cup.
"The best players are always welcome."
Alves also said he would have no problem to compete with room for right lateral position in the team of Luis Enrique - although it often plays above, for both club and countries.
"It does not bother me, I like challenges," he said.
"To be honest, the place is a great player, young and showed his quality for the Colombian national team and the club.
"If you see that your club is looking for quality players to compete for jobs, for me it's an extra motivation."
