Suarez scores twice in Uruguay friendly

 Suarez-Uruguay-friendly-oman

The striker has lost none of his predatory instincts during his four-month lay-off after finding the back of the net twice for his country on Monday

The Barcelona forward started Monday's international friendly in Muscat and looked typically sharp in front of goal with a quickfire second-half double that put Oscar Tabarez's side on course for a comfortable victory.
Suarez's first goal came after 57 minutes, when he latched onto a Diego Rolan pass before directing a scuffed left-footed effort past Ali Al Habsi.

His second, which came just 10 minutes later, was vintage Suarez. The former Liverpool man outpaced an Omani defender before lofting a deft chip over the stranded Al Habsi from just inside the penalty area following a searching pass from Gaston Ramirez.
His job done, Suarez - banned from competitive action for four months for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup - was taken off with 13 minutes remaining.
Uruguay substitute Jonathan Rodriguez then got in on the act with a well-taken strike from the edge of the box to round off the win.
Barca coach Luis Enrique is sure to have watched on with interest as he ponders whether to throw Suarez straight into competitive action in the season's first Clasico meeting with Real Madrid in 12 days' time.
