Talk of Ronaldo returning to Manchester United is 'nonsense' - Ancelotti

Ronaldo-Manchester-United-Ancelotti

The Real Madrid superstar has been linked with a big-money move back to Old Trafford but his coach is adamant that no such deal will happen for "the best player in the world"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says that reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a return to Manchester United are "nonsense".
The Portuguese has previously spoken of his interest in rejoining the Red Devils one day but Goal understands that he wishes to beat Raul's record of 323 goals for Los Blancos before making such a move.

Ronaldo declared on Wednesday that "my future is with Madrid" as he denied being unsettled at the Santiago Bernabeu and his boss is adamant that the speculation will lead nowhere.

"These are words without meaning," he told the press.

""I believe [the] reports are nonsense. Cristiano is happy here, very motivated to be here, and all Madridismo is delighted with him.

"Ronaldo [has] great professionalism, leadership, we must enjoy him and do everything to keep him in this physical and mental condition.

"Without doubt Ronaldo is the best player in the world. We are lucky he plays for us. We have to enjoy it."

The former AC Milan coach also said that he has not decided on which of Iker Casillas or Keylor Navas will start in goal when his side travel to Villarreal in La Liga on Saturday.

He declared: "I'll make my decision after [Friday's] training and, no, I'm not thinking about starting one keeper at home and another one away. If Iker plays, that means he's the best for me. I started Keylor against Elche to give him minutes."

The Italian revealed that defenders Pepe and Fabio Coentrao will play no part due to injury.
